This past Friday night, a central Florida man was arrested earlier this week with charges of driving under the influence while driving a law mower.
Richard Paschen was driving his red lawn mower when Marion County Sheriff’s Department officers spotted him drinking a beer and mowing the lawn. When questioned if he had been drinking a lot, Paschen replied that he’d had “a pretty good bit” to drink. Paschen also told officers that he had gotten lost while driving the lawn mower. He refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Paschen has a history of driving under the influence charges and now has his license suspended.

According to authorities, a Florida woman was arrested for drunken driving after a car accident.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested after 10:30 p.m. when she was involved in an accident at an intersection on Route 32. The report did not say whether there were any injuries in the accident. The woman was charged with an aggravated DWI because her blood-alcohol content was a 0.18 percent or higher.

A man from South Florida was charged with a DUI with property damage and multiple other charges after he drove his SUV into a house.
The incident began when the man reportedly got into a fight with his wife earlier in the evening at a Fourth of July party and the couple argued on the way home. When the couple arrived at the house the wife and four children got out of the vehicle and went inside.
The man then continued to drive the vehicle into the house. It crashed through the front wall and ended up in the living room. Police arrived at the scene shortly after.

54-year old Joe Ricky Dailey of Auburndale, Florida, was taken to Lake County jail today on charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, reckless driving, and refusal to submit a breathalyzer test.
Dailey caused an accident last week in South Lake that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, 59-year old Ronald Richard Allen of Kissimmee, walking across U.S. 92 at Town Center Boulevard. Witnesses said that Dailey was driving recklessly and without his headlights on.
Police found Dailey later that night in Osceola County where he claimed that he thought a brick or rock hit his windshield. Dailey is being held without bond.

An actor from the HBO hit TV series, the Sopranos, has been arrested for drunken driving charges.
Jail records show that the 51-year-old was arrested early Friday morning. The officer who pulled him over said that you could smell alcohol on the actor and he had bloodshot, watery eyes and he was slurring his speech.
After he blew into the Breathalyzer, he reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .111. He is expected to be released from jail later in the evening on a $500 bond.

A 20-year-old St. Petersburg woman was sentenced to 3 years in prison last week in response to a crash that claimed the life of her boyfriend.
The day before the trial, the young woman spoke to hundreds of students at a local high school through the Safe Teen Driving program, warning them against the dangers of drinking and driving. The victim’s parents expressed wishes that the woman not go to prison because of her remorse and her willingness to change. Despite these pleas, the woman was still sentenced to 3 years.

The wife of the Mayor of Taveres was arrested for a DUI charge and leaving the scene of an accident.
Officials say that when police caught up to the woman she was passed out in her car in a handicapped space at a hospital. The engine of her car was running and a bottle of Kahlua and prescription drugs were in the car.
The police report states that the women admitted to taking prescription pills and putting Kahlua into her coffee.
