A South Florida doctor was charged last month for improperly supplying thousands of prescription drugs to people in Kentucky.
According to patients, Shook performed little or no examination before giving them prescriptions, which he advised them not to take to large pharmacies.
Boyd county police officers searched Dr. Michael R. Shook’s office in Lauderhill Medical Clinic in Oakland Park, Florida and found 1,400 patient files of people with addresses in eastern Kentucky. Kentucky police say that some of the people arrested in Kentucky’s largest-ever drug raid last October were associated with Shook’s office.
