The Lake Worth teenager shot by a Boca Raton police officer was ordered bail of $310,000 on Friday.
Ramon Rosario, 17, was in a stolen Jeep Cherokee with two men last Tuesday when an officer attempted to pull the vehicle over. Rosario jumped out of the vehicle and pointed a gun at the officer, who then shot Rosario three times in self defense. Rosario stated that him and his friends were planning on robbing a house at the time, and stealing the Jeep a few hours earlier in Lake Worth.
Rosario was charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery, grand theft auto, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. One of the other men in the Jeep has bail set at $56,000 and is charged with grand theft auto, grand theft of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit a home invasion robbery.
