Common Parole Terms
If you are convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison, you may be able to serve part of your sentence outside of prison. This is known as parole. Much like probation, if you are approved for parole you will have to abide by a number of terms and conditions. If you violate the terms of your parole, you may have to return to jail to finish your sentence.
If you have been accused of not following the terms of your parole agreement, you need legal counsel. Contact the experienced Boca Raton criminal defense attorneys of Eric N. Klein & Associates, P.A., today at 561-353-2800 to discuss how our passionate professionals can help you protect your freedom.
Probationary Terms of Parole
If you are granted parole, you will be allowed to leave and serve the remainder of your sentence outside of jail. However, you will be forced to abide by some regulations. These can include the following:
- You are not allowed to leave the country, state, or city
- You must check in with a parole officer on a regular basis
- You will be tested for drug and / or alcohol use
- You cannot possess, carry, or use a firearm or other weapon
- You must obtain and maintain a job
If you are accused of not meeting your parole requirements, you may have to return to jail.
