A woman in Florida was arrested Tuesday after police discovered a marijuana grow house in Brooksville.
According to officials with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department, a house located on the 12, 000 block of Sun Road, contained 71 marijuana plants. A shed on the property also contained 31 plants, deputies say. The arrest affidavit says the plants were each about a foot and a half tall, and growing under artificial lights.
Deputies also discovered thirty potted marijuana plants and a large plastic bag containing thirty-seven rotting marijuana plants.
“The plants had visible root structure and had been harvested from,” according to the arrest affidavit.
Police arrested 44 year-old Rhonda Quince who admitted to selling the marijuana to help pay bills. She was charged with cultivating marijuana. Authorities also arrested 52 year-old Jefferey Scott Wagner for the same charge.
