A vocational instructor at a state prison in Clermont, Florida was arrested Tuesday for possession of marijuana.
According to a report released by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, 25 year-old Antony Ducasse was entering the prison when guards discovered the drugs during a staff inspection. A search of Ducasse at the prison gate uncovered seven ounces of marijuana in a packaged plastic bag in his pants, police say. Investigators estimate the street value of the marijuana is roughly $500.
Ducasse was arrested and is being held at the Lake County Jail in lieu of a $12,000 bond.
The Florida Department of Corrections says Ducasse was a vocational instructor who trained inmates in the kitchen. The department says they are preparing to fire Ducasse.
