A 42 year-old Miami man and his 32 year-old female companion are facing criminal charges after allegedly robbing a Boca Raton Dunkin’ Donuts at around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The individuals were later apprehended with a handgun, $117 dollars in cash, and the store manager’s debit card.
The man is currently facing charges of robbery with a firearm, two counts of battery, and four kidnapping counts. The woman has been charged with robbery and driving with a suspended license.

According to a new report by the FBI, Orlando saw the biggest decrease in crime rate of any US city in 2009. The FBI found that the violent crime rate in Orlando in 2009 has dropped 30% compared to the same time last year.
Murders and rape have both significantly declined, and the number of robberies has been cut almost in half. While these numbers are very encouraging, not all crime is down; arson has seen a marked increase in 2009, almost tripling. While there were 13 cases during the first six months of 2008, there were 33 cases in the same period in 2009.

Authorities in Florida have reported that a traffic stop has resulted in the arrest of a man after police discovered nearly 100 pounds of marijuana as well as several other types of illegal drugs.
These drugs were found after the man was pulled over on a busy Florida interstate. Authorities stated that the man seemed nervous when they approached. After receiving consent to search the vehicle, authorities stated that they found marijuana, heroin, and cocaine inside of the vehicle.
The man is facing charges for possession with intent to distribute.

Police have found an extensive marijuana growing operation in a Tallahassee neighborhood. The drugs are worth an estimated $2.5 million.
Leon County Sheriff’s deputies seized more than 250 marijuana plants from two homes in Killearn Acres. Four men were arrested. 31 year-old Wilmaer Lopez, 25 year-old Maikel Zamora, 66 year-old Wilfredo Lopez and 35 year-old Andeslay Rodriguez are being held in Leon County Jail without bail.
Florida State Police say the men had an elaborate setup for growing marijuana which included nurseries for immature marijuana plants, indoor irrigation systems and artificial sun lighting sources.

Victoria R. Miesner, appreared in fron of Honorable U.S. Magistrate on Nov. 9 in relation to information that was filed on November 5, 2009 charging her with filing a false tax return.
Miesner filed a joint federal tax return in which she reported a total income of $49,626, when at least $430,000 should have been reported.
Michael Miesner pleaded guilty September 4, 2009 to mail fraud, loan application fraud, and tax fraud. He is a registered commodity trading advisor that defrauded more than 260 investors.
Micheal Miesner is currently scheduled to be sentenced on January 29, 2010.
